HOTEL ACCESS DURING BAYOU CLASSIC 2014
From November 26 through November 29, 2014 the bayou Classic will occur. There will be some local street closures causing traffic delays, so please allow extra time when traveling to the hotel. Access to the hotel over these dates may be limited to registered guests only. The hotel has very limited parking (valet only) and will be available on a first come, first serve basis. Rollaway beds and mini-refrigerators will also be limited and available on a first come first serve basis at check-in. Please contact the hotel for further information.
HOTEL ACCESS & PARKING DURING MARDI GRAS 2015
Mardi Gras 2015 will begin February 6 through February 17, 2015. There will be some local street closures due to parades, so please allow extra time when traveling to the hotel. Access to the hotel over these dates will be limited to registered guests only. Registered guests will be identified by wearing a hotel issued wristband. The hotel will have very limited parking over these dates and will be available on a first come, first serve basis with no in/out privileges. Please contact the hotel for further information.

ALCOHOL POLICY: Alcoholic beverage service is restricted to those 21 years or older (with valid identification).
AGE REQUIREMENT POLICY: Guests must be 18 years or older with valid identification to reserve and check into a room.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Our standard cancellation policy is 72 hours from date of arrival, but please refer to the cancellation policy listed on your reservation, as it can vary by rate plan. If a reservation is canceled after the cancellation period, a penalty will be applied (refer to the specific rate plan policies for the exact penalty amount). The cancelation penalty may only be waived as determined by the hotel due to: personal illness, illness or death of a member of the immediate family or a traveling companion, bad weather impacting travel to the area (i.e. flight cancellations), or conditions resulting from an act of God. Documentation will be required.
CHECK CASHING POLICY: Check cashing services are available to guests who present valid identification. There is a limit of $100 per day. Checks are subject to approval from TeleCheck.
FIRE SAFETY POLICY: The hotel is fully equipped with smoke detectors and emergency evacuation plans in all rooms and public areas.

HURRICANE POLICY: Hurricane season extends from June 1st through November 30th each year. In the event of a hurricane* in the Gulf of Mexico with New Orleans as a projected path, the Sheraton New Orleans will not be accepting new reservations, and the hotel may be subject to closure or evacuation. In the event of evacuation, the hotel will attempt to contact future guests to notify them of the situation and their reservation will be canceled without penalty. Guests that are staying at the hotel when an evacuation order is called will be transported to the airport, where air transportation will need to be arranged by the guest. During the affected period, we will waive cancellation and no-show charges. Please contact the hotel for more details.
*A hurricane is defined/validated by the National Hurricane Center, typically a tropical cyclone in which the maximum sustained surface wind is 74 mph (64 knots) or greater.
SPECIAL EVENT POLICY: The Sheraton New Orleans Hotel may enforce special event policies over high demand dates such as some holidays, sporting events, annual festivals, or other citywide events. Some of these events include Mardi Gras, Jazz and Heritage Festival, Essence Festival, Bayou Classic, New Year's Eve and the Sugar Bowl. Event policies can include pre-payment/non-cancelable requirements for room reservations, restricted access to/from the hotel, and very limited parking. PARKING POLICY: Valet parking service is available on a first come first serve basis (spaces are limited and oversized vehicles are not permitted). PET POLICY: Dogs are allowed but may not be left in the guest room unattended and must be on a leash in public areas. Also, dogs may not be larger than 40 pounds and a pet waiver must be signed at check-in. The closest grassy area is a few blocks from the hotel. Our pet policy is exclusive to dogs. PAYMENT POLICY: A valid credit card is required at check-in for payment of the room, tax and incidentals. For debit card users, an immediate hold will be placed on the card that is equal to the room, tax and 50% of the total room and tax for incidentals. If guest is paying cash, a deposit equal to the room, tax and $50 per day will be collected at check-in. SMOKING POLICY: The Sheraton New Orleans is 100% smoke free. There are designated smoking areas outside of building. A $200 per day cleaning fee will be charged to the guest's account should smoking occur anywhere inside the facility.
